The Power Of Words
Series: Free !
What comes out of our mouths is hugely important because our words literally have the power to shape our lives. Proverbs tells us that “the tongue has the power of life and death.” Every day we literally speak life or death over ourselves and others around us. True freedom comes when we allow Jesus to help us bridle our tongues so that we learn to speak life (agreeing with God and His Word) and no longer speak death (agreeing with the devil and theflesh).

    The Father’s Love
    Series: Free !
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and yet many of us still live a life that is far less than the abundant life Jesus came to bring us. We are still bound by lies that we believe about ourselves, unforgiveness towards those who have wronged us, habitual sinful behaviour, fear, anxiety and stress, and even financial difficulties. Often we remain bound by these things because we have a tainted understanding of who our heavenly Father is. It is as we gain a deeper revelation of the Father’s Love for us that we begin to experience and walk in the abundant life that Jesus came to give us.

    God’s Glorious Plan
    Series: Christmas
God’s glorious plan has always involved family.  He began His story in a garden by creating the first family.  He ends His story in a city in which He comes to live with His children.  His story ends, as does every good story, with a “and they all lived happily ever after.”  But, perhaps the most important part of the story comes somewhere around the middle –the part in which Jesus, the Son of God, takes on human flesh  by  being  born  as  a  baby  on  that  very  first  Christmas.    The  angels  knew  God  was  up  to  something amazing.  The shepherds and the magi recognized that a King was born.  But many took no notice and had no idea that God was working His glorious plan, creating for himself a family.  The question we must all ask ourselves is this: “Am I part of God’s family?”  If your answer to that question is “no”, then why not make a decision today to believe in Jesus and become part of God’s family.

I Love My Church: Bringing Hope to the Hopeless
We live in a world which is filled with hopelessness and it’s no wonder this is true if the news headlines are anything to go by. Every day it’s the same old thing: wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, weird new diseases that we never heard of before, ups-and-downs in the financial markets, and the list goes on. While the names of people and places involved change from day-to-day, the story is the same – hopelessness. But, there is hope and His name is Jesus. The problem is the world does not know Him, and that’s where the church comes in. The church is God’s plan for bringing His message of a hope and a future to a world that is hopeless.

I Love My Church: My Church Is A Family
The Church is God’s family because it is made  up  of  people  who have been adopted as His children. Before we give our lives to Jesus we are spiritual orphans, living in a hostile world without the support of a loving and caring family. But, when we come to Jesus, all that changes. We become part of the greatest family there has ever been or ever will be. This is a family that will last for eternity. It’s a family in which we can grow spiritually, find and develop healthy relationships, use our spiritual gifts, and find significance.

I Love My Church: I Can Make A Difference
The Church that Jesus is building is like a body that is made up of many different parts, each of which is important and must function and do its part so that the whole body can function properly. There is no person in the Church who is insignificant. We all have a place; we all have a person. Every one of us can make a difference when we choose to do our part. And, because we are serving God’s people in God’s Church, what we do actually impacts eternity.

I Love My Church: Who is The Church?
The Church is the most influential, counter-cultural, and enduring organization that has ever existed in all of history. Every person who believes in Jesus and follows Him is a part of this amazing community that was established by Jesus himself. The term “church” does not refer to something we do, or a place that we go to on Sunday. The term refers to who we are. We are the church, not just on Sunday but on every day of the week and, as such, we are the hands and feet of Jesus which are to bring hope to this world.

    Transform: Walking in His Victory
    Series: Transform
Have you ever felt like life is a constant struggle, a battle? I am sure you have at least at some point in your life. The reason is because we are in a battle. The Bible tells us that “our struggle” is with unseen, spiritual forces that are against us and seek to tempt us into doing things that are not pleasing to our heavenly Father. The good news is that when Jesus taught us to pray, He taught us that God is not the source of temptation but instead He delivers us from the evil one who is the source of temptation. And, furthermore, our Father in heaven is well able to deal with the evil one because the kingdom, the power and the glory belong to Him forever.
