About Us

Hong Kong City Church is a community of ordinary people who desire to follow Jesus by obeying the Word of God and walking daily in the leading of the Holy Spirit, so that people in our spheres of influence may be introduced to an intimate relationship with God, grow in their identity in Christ, and learn how to influence others for God’s Kingdom.

When Heaven Came to Earth
Scripture reveals to us that the Father has a plan which He is bringing to pass in and through this world. The goal of His plan has always been to make His dwelling with human beings or, to put it another way, to bring heaven and earth together so that they will be one. Like every good story, the Father’s story begins with a once upon a time
creation and ends with a they lived happily ever after the new creation. In between this beginning and end the plot is developed and human beings you and I are involved in bringing heaven to earth. What an amazing story it is!

    Heaven’s Perspective
In this life all of us face trials, temptations, difficulties, hardships, struggles, troubles - it doesn't matter what you call them. They come in all shapes and sizes, and nobody is exempt. It's not a matter of "if" we will face them, but "when". When we face these things in life, the question we should ask is not "why am I facing this?" but "how should I face it?" The "why" question is easy to answer - because everyone face them; it's simply a part of this life. The "how" question is a bit more difficult; how you face the trials of this life is a matter of perspective. Furthermore, the perspective with which you face a situation will determine the outcome.

    Kings and priests
The Apostle Peter tells us that we are a royal priesthood he combines the ideas of royalty (kings and queens) with that of priests.
In Revelation we are told twice that Jesus has made us to be a kingdom (kings) and priests. In fact, if you think about it,
God’s people have always functioned in these two ways. Israel was made up of 12 tribes, one of which were priests (Levi) who ministered
in the house of the Lord, and the other eleven of which focused on bringing provision to and for the house of the Lord.

Jesus Christ is Coming to Earth

Have you ever heard that song about “Santa Claus is coming to town”? It’s all about getting ready and making sure you’re prepared for when he arrives. Now, to be clear, we don’t believe in Santa Claus, but there is another very important person who is coming to town soon. His name is Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The question we need to ask ourselves today is, “Am I ready for Jesus to return?” Each of us has a responsibility to prepare our hearts for His arrival. We are the ones who determine whether we will be hot, cold or lukewarm towards the Lord and the things of His kingdom. Let us choose today that we will be “hot” for Him, full of His passion and desire to live our lives for Him.

    The Goodness Of God
Aren't you glad our Heavenly Father is a GOOD father? I sure am! Goodness is not something our Father has; it is who He is. Goodness is a perfection of God's character which He bestows on all His creatures, both believers and unbelievers. His goodness is manifest in different ways... Generally it is seen as benevolence and kindness; to the unrepentant sinner, it is patience and long-suffering; to the suffering soul it is mercy, pity, and compassion; to the unworthy it is grace and favour; to the believer it is every good and perfect gift that comes from our Father above. God's goodness and His justice are not opposites. They are not mutually exclusive, He is not sometimes good and sometimes just; Rather, His goodness and justice are two sides on the same coin. He is eternally and infinitely BOTH good and just. In His goodness He perfectly just, and in His justice He is perfectly good.
